From Chairman Mindy Holman:
“On behalf of the Holman family and the entire leadership team, I would like to express our deepest concern and support for the members of our extended family who have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey and its devastating aftermath. As our employees have demonstrated time and again, what makes us a truly special organization is that we are here for each other in times of need. Sadly, for our team in the Houston area, this is a time of great need.
“The local stories of heroism and a community coming together are truly heartening, and we too are prepared to do our part to support our Houston employees.
“Because what matters to us most is taking care of our own, Holman Enterprises has established a $200,000 fund to provide immediate assistance to ARI employees who’ve experienced significant loss or property damage as a result of Hurricane Harvey. This is on top of any available assistance from the Holman Emergency Lifeline Program (H.E.L.P.) Employees should contact my brother Steve Holman, Director – Community Affairs, with a summary of their needs.
“It is hardly surprising that we have been inundated with requests from our employees asking how they can help their coworkers in Houston. We have two immediate options for you.
1) We have established a crowdsourcing account to which all Holman employees can contribute. WeLove100percentHouston The donations to this site will be added to our $200,000 fund and will directly benefit the ARI family members in Houston who need our help. In addition, Holman will match all contributions to this site dollar for dollar. (Just as a reminder, as those of you who are familiar with crowdsourcing accounts know, these contributions are not tax deductible.)
2) On September 5, we will be kicking off our 2017 United Way campaign. Anyone who wishes to support the entire Houston area can designate all or part of their pledge to the “United Way Harvey Recovery Fund” and can be confident in the knowledge that 100% of their donation will flow through to those directly in need. More information about this will be available at your United Way kickoff events. The benefits of this option are contributions will be tax deductible and can also be handled through payroll deduction.
“We are committed as a company to offer a quick response to those employees affected by Harvey and are meeting their most urgent needs now. Please know that you have time to decide if and how you wish to participate and it won’t cause a delay in needed assistance.
“Finally, please continue to keep the people of Houston and all those affected by Hurricane Harvey in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Your compassion and caring makes a difference.”
