As captured on film by the world’s oldest cub reporter, Joe Frantz, Team ARI once again braved the swift currents of the Delaware River to trek south in this year’s Paddle for Promise. Manning a 45-foot-long outrigger canoe over two days in their epic 58-mile voyage from Trenton, NJ to Wilmington, DE, the team not only successfully avoided any fatalities, but raised a boat-load of money for Urban Promise and its youth programming. Part of that haul came from an Employee Donation from Holman to co-captain Jim Terruso in support of the efforts of his crew.
Since 1988 the mission at UrbanPromise has been to equip Camden’s children and young adults with the skills necessary for academic achievement, life management, spiritual growth, and Christian leadership, and Holman has long been a supporter. Since those beginnings, UrbanPromise has added programs in Trenton, Wilmington, Charlotte, Miami, and Toronto, as well as in Honduras and Malawi.
